HEALTH EDUCATION ON SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES FOR WOMAN

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Sexually transmitted diseases are part of the Reproductive Tract Infection (ISR) caused by germs such as fungi, viruses, and parasites that enter and multiply in the body that are transmitted through sexual intercourse. According to the WHO More than one million sexually transmitted diseases occur every day throughout the world. Every year, it is estimated that 131 million people are infected with chlamydia, 78 million are infected with gonorrhea, and 5.6 million are infected with sipilis. Therefore, it is necessary to provide education to the community, one of which is through health education activities. Method The target in this counseling is the scope of the academic community of STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. Implementation time is Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Methode. The method used is in the form of counseling/delivery of material and discussion. Results and Discussion. The outreach activities went smoothly without any problems. The participants who actively participated were 163 people. During the question and answer session and the discussion took place, it was seen that the enthusiasm of the participants was very high. This is evidenced by the number of participants submitting several questions related to seually transitted disease. Conclusion. Information about Sexually transmitted desease is important for the public to know, especially women. With this outreach activity, it is hoped that public knowledge and awareness will increase, so that mortality rates can be suppressed.

PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN PENYAKIT MENULAR SEKSUAL

PADA PEREMPUAN

Penyakit menular seksual adalah bagian dari Infeksi Saluran Reproduksi (ISR) yang disebabkan oleh kuman seperti jamur, virus, dan parasit yang masuk dan berkembang biak di dalam tubuh yang ditularkan melalui hubungan seksual. Menurut WHO Lebih dari satu juta Penyakit Menular Seksual terjadi setiap harinya di seluruh dunia. Setiap tahunnya, diduga 131 juta orang terinfeksi chlamydia, 78 juta terinfeksi gonorrhea, dan 5,6 juta terinfeksi syphilis. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pemberian edukasi kepada masyarakat, salah satunya yaitu melalui kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan.  Sasaran dalam penyuluhan ini yaitu  lingkup civitas akademika STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. Waktu pelaksanaan yaitu Sabtu, 19 Maret 2022. Metode yang digunakan yaitu berupa penyuluhan/penyampaian materi dan diskusi. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan lancar tanpa ada hambatan. Peserta yang turut aktif berpartisipasi yaitu sebanyak 163 orang. Pada sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi berlangsung, terlihat bahwa antusiasme peserta sangat tinggi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan banyaknya peserta menyampaikan beberapa pertanyaannya terkait materi penyakit menular seksual. Kesimpulan. Informasi tentang penyakit menular seksual penting untuk diketahui oleh masyarakat, khsususnya perempuan. Dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan ini, maka diharapkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan bertambah, sehingga angka mortalitas dapat ditekan.
