                                             ABSTRACT

Covid-19 pandemic is a public health problem in the world. The pandemic has impacted all aspects of life including nurses. Nurses in hospitals face a variety of challenges when working in a hospital setting. This study aims to describe the meaning and experience of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic in hospitals, DKI Jakarta province. This research was carried out at one of the Covid-19 referral hospitals in the DKI Jakarta area. The design used in this research is descriptive phenomenology, using online interviews through the Zoom. This study involved 15 nurses as participants who were selected by purposive sampling. This study uses the Colaizzi data analysis method. The results showed 7 main themes, namely: 1) unexpected situations, 2) deep fear, 3) caring for Covid-19 patients, 4) the health hazards faced by nurses, 5) nurses actively preventing Covid-19 transmission, 6) balancing professional duties with personal life, 7) nurse expectations. The implications of this research are expected to be able to identify health hazards, health promotion and protection to the nurses in  workplace during the Covid-19 pandemic

ABSTRAK

Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat di dunia. Pandemi telah berdampak pada semua aspek kehidupan termasuk perawat. Perawat di rumah sakit menghadapi berbagai risiko ketika bekerja pada tatanan rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan arti dan makna pengalaman perawat pada masa pendemi Covid-19 di rumah sakit, wilayah DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu rumah sakit umum rujukan Covid-19 di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Desain yang digunakan pada peneltian ini adalah fenomenologi deskriptif, dengan menggunakan wawancara online melalui aplikasi Zoom. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 perawat sebagai partisipan  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.  Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data metode Colaizzi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 7 tema utama yaitu: 1) situasi tidak terduga, 2) ketakutan mendalam, 3) merawat pasien Covid-19, 4) bahaya yang dihadapi perawat, 5) perawat aktif mencegah penularan Covid-19, 6) menyeimbangkan tugas profesional dengan kehidupan pribadi, 7) harapan perawat. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi mengenai bahaya kesehatan, upaya promosi dan proteksi terhadap perawat ditempat kerja, pada masa pandemi Covid-19.
