Retention Activity In Supporting The Implementation Of Uptd. Puskesmas Pamulang Electronic Medical Records

Abstract

Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat also known as puskesmas is a health service facility that organizes public health efforts and first-level individual health efforts, by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts in its working area. Medical records at non-hospital health care facilities must be kept for at least a period of 2 (two) years from the date of the patient's last treatment and after the time limit is exceeded, medical records can be destroyed. Retention is the activity of separating or moving between inactive medical record documents and medical record documents that are still active in the storage room of PKM partners, namely the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Pamulang Health Center. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to assist medical record and health information officers at partner health centers in carrying out retention activities, given the problems faced by partners such as the limited human resources of the health center, namely 1 medical record officer, plus the large number of medical record files that must be retained by medical record officers. PKM activities in the form of implementing medical record file retention activities carried out by Puskesmas admin officers together with lecturers and DIII students of the Medical Records & Health Information study program of STIKes WDH Tangerang.The results of this PKM activity were recorded as many as 11,197 medical record files that were successfully retained during the PKM activity period. This PKM is a manifestation of the academic community in carrying out the tridharma of higher education by implementing three roles, namely intellectual, social and moral roles. This PKM is expected to be able to apply the latest science and can directly benefit the community, including in this case the health centers in South Tangerang.
