SOSIALISASI DAN EDUKASI KESEHATAN WASPADA HOAX VAKSIN COVID-19 (FAKTA DAN MITOS) DI KELURAHAN DUREN MEKAR KOTA DEPOK

Abstract

This community service is entitled "Health Socialization and Education Beware of Covid-19 Vaccine Hoax (Facts and Myths) in Duren Mekar Village, Depok City". The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about the Covid-19 vaccine to the community, explain facts and myths about the Covid-19 vaccine, and present effective forms of communication to educate the public about the provision of Covid-19 vaccination. The method of implementing this community service is carried out in several stages of activity, namely the licensing stage, the survey stage, and the socialization stage. This licensing stage is carried out by first taking care of permits in order to be able to carry out community service in Duren Mekar Village, Depok City. After taking care of permits and obtaining permits, it continues with the survey stage, namely conducting site surveys and conducting gatherings with local community leaders to convey the aims and objectives of this community service. In the survey stage, collaboration was also carried out, and determined a schedule for community service implementation activities. In the licensing and survey stages, the team also made preparations for the preparation of the material to be given, the schedule for each session of material giving, and the division of tasks during the event.
Furthermore, after the licensing and survey stages have been carried out, the next stage of socialization is the implementation of "Health Socialization and Education Beware of Covid-19 Vaccine Hoax (Facts and Myths)". The implementing team for this activity is STIKes Widya Dharma Husada lecturers as many as 10 people and 2 students. The community service team provided material on "Beware of the Covid-19 Vaccine Hoax (Facts and Myths)" and distributed free masks and multivitamins to the community. This community service activity went smoothly and the community was very enthusiastic, so it can be concluded that educating the community directly and interactively is more efficient and effective to provide understanding to the community but must still be carried out in accordance with the 5M health protocol in this New Normal period. The conclusion of this community service activity is that before the socialization activity took place, almost all participants still lacked or did not understand the Covid-19 vaccine and the importance of participating in the Covid-19 vaccine. The hope of carrying out this activity is that the public will not receive erroneous information or in this case hoaxes about the Covid-19 vaccine circulating among the public which can affect public participation in the vaccination program carried out by the government.

ABSTRAK

 Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjudul “Sosialisasi dan Edukasi Kesehatan Waspada Hoax Vaksin Covid-19 (Fakta dan Mitos) di Kelurahan Duren Mekar Kota Depok”. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan seputar vaksin Covid-19 kepada masyarakat, menjelaskan fakta dan mitos tentang vaksin Covid-19, dan menjelaskan bentuk komunikasi efektif untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terhadap pemberian vaksinasi Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan kegiatan yaitu tahap perizinan, tahap survei, dan tahap sosialisasi. Tahap perizinan ini dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu mengurus perizinan agar dapat melakukan pengabdian masyarakat di Kelurahan Duren Mekar Kota Depok. Setelah mengurus perizinan dan memperoleh izin maka dilanjutkan dengan tahap survei yaitu melakukan survei lokasi dan melakukan silaturahmi dengan tokoh masyarakat setempat dalam rangka menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Dalam tahap survei juga dilakukan jalinan kerja sama dan menentukan jadwal kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dalam tahap perizinan dan survei, tim juga melakukan persiapan penyusunan materi yang akan diberikan, penyusunan jadwal dalam setiap sesi pemberian materi, dan pembagian tugas saat acara dilaksanakan. Selanjutnya, setelah tahap perizinan dan survei dilaksanakan maka berikutnya tahap sosialisasi yaitu pelaksanaan “Sosialisasi dan Edukasi Kesehatan Waspada Hoax Vaksin Covid-19 (Fakta dan Mitos)”. Tim pelaksana kegiatan ini adalah dosen STIKes Widya Dharma Husada sebanyak 10 orang dan mahasiswa sebanyak 2 orang. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat memberikan materi tentang “Waspada Hoax Vaksin Covid-19 (Fakta dan Mitos)” serta membagikan masker dan multivitamin gratis kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar dan masyarakat sangat antusias sehingga dapat disimpulkan mengedukasi masyarakat secara langsung dan interaktif lebih efisien dan efektif untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat namun tetap harus dilaksanakan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan 5M di masa New Normal ini. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sebelum kegiatan sosialisasi berlangsung hampir seluruh peserta masih kurang atau belum mengerti tentang vaksin Covid-19 dan pentingnya berpartisipasi dalam vaksin Covid-19. Harapan dari dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini agar masyarakat tidak memperoleh informasi yang bersifat keliru atau dalam hal ini hoax tentang vaksin Covid-19 yang beredar di kalangan masyarakat yang dapat mempengaruhi partisipasi masyarakat dalam program vaksinasi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah.
