EDUCATION ON THE USE OF MEDICINAL PLANTS AND PLANTING ACTIVITIES AMONG THE COMMUNITY

Abstract

Education on the Use of Medicinal Plants and Planting Activities in the Community can play a role in socializing the use and use of traditional medicinal plants in their respective environments. This service activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills in using medicinal plants. The method used is the Community-Based Interactive Approach method where participants play an active role in the activity, so that with community participation the activity goals will be easier to achieve. Activities are carried out in several stages, namely counseling and training on the use and planting of medicinal plants. As a result of this activity, participants gained knowledge and skills regarding various types of medicinal plants as well as how to use traditional plants and their processing which can be seen from the participants' presentation at the end of this activity. The results of this activity are expected to be a motivation for the target community to utilize the remaining land around their homes. to plant medicinal plants and use them for herbal treatment for minor health complaints in the family. It is hoped that this activity will further inspire people to be smarter in innovating to process medicinal plant materials and be inspired to develop them as entrepreneurs which will have an impact on improving the family's economy.
